A total of five viruses provoking a targeted infection and a liver inflammation have been identified to date. These viruses, designated by the letters A, B, C, D, and E, differ in their mode of transmission and aggression. According to World Health Organization the number of people infected with viral hepatitis B and C is estimated at 2 billion, over 370 million are chronically infected and can transmit the virus for years. The Cameroon has risen to third place among the most affected, with 10% prevalence rate of viral hepatitis Countries and 12% of viral hepatitis B.
