Le potentiel des médicaments antirétroviraux pour réduire considérablement la morbidité et la mortalité associé au VIH est sérieusement amoindri par une mauvaise absorption des médicaments. Le projet CAMPS est un essai randomisé et pragmatique des messages texte (SMS) de motivation par Téléphone mobile versus soins habituels pour améliorer l'adhérence au traitement antirétroviral au niveau du centre de traitement agrée basé à l’Hôpital Central de Yaoundé.
Cet essai a été parrainé par une bourse postdoctorale offerte au chercheur principal par le réseau canadien pour les essais VIH IRSC. L’essai qui s’est déroulé de Novembre 2010 à Juillet 2011, inclus 200 personnes vivant avec le VIH. L'analyse des données est toujours en cours.
